Marcia Meislin founded MCM Management Consultants in 1987, specializing in the training and development of corporate leaders and professionals. Over the years, MCM clients have included: AT&T, Ciba-Geigy, Fleet Financial Group, Ford Foundation, Grey Advertising, John Hancock, JPMorgan Chase, Liberty Mutual, Medco Health Solutions, NASA, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Textron Financial, Thomas Publishing, and The United States Coast Guard.
Prior to MCM, Ms. Meislin was Training Director and Vice President of Human Resources at National Westminster Bank USA. She taught Organizational Behavior in the MBA Program at Pace University and at The Graduate School of the College of New Rochelle. At New York University’s Continuing Education Program for Managers and the New School Leadership Center, she taught Management and Internal Consulting Skills. Her accomplishments have been featured in The American Banker, The New York Post, Workforce Magazine, and Women’s News of Westchester.
Marcia also is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) who has been in practice for over twenty years. She brings to coaching her literal love affair with life. In her coaching practice, Marcia encourages her clients to ask probing questions, face the answers honestly, and bravely transform dreams into reality…and she firmly believes that whether one’s life feels full of challenges, constraints, or missed opportunities, it’s never too late to make the move towards a happy, fulfilling life.
In addition to her new book, The Goodbye Cookie, Marcia is author of The Internal Consultant: Drawing on Inside Expertise, published in 1997 by Crisp Publications. In addition to co-authoring an internet course for Seton Hall’s Executive Communications Masters Program, she’s also published articles in: Successful Meetings Magazine, Consulting Today, and the Internal Auditor Magazine.
Public speaking engagements include appearances at professional conferences such as Linkage, The American Society for Training and Development, Bank Administration Institute, American Institute of Banking, Institute of Internal Auditors, the National Association of Bank Women, Center for Application of Psychological Type, Westchester Association of Women Business Owners, and Westchester Human Resources Management Association.
With a B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University, and M.Ed. in Counseling from Cambridge College, Marcia became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation. She is a certified therapist from the Gestalt Center of Long Island where she has been a Trustee since 1994. Marcia completed all her coursework at Union Graduate School’s Doctoral Program in Managerial Psychology.
